Abstract:
This paper presents a new technique concept called risk-trend-graph(RTG), which is used to analyze and process paraplegic walking gait assisted with functional electrical stimulation(FES). This technique takes walker rolling index as the evaluating factor to indicate the temporal and spatial gait stability conditions during the walking process of paraplegia patient. Its main component is a walker dynamometer system based on the 12-channel strain gauge bridge network. Relevant system calibration and clinical test results show that this technique is an integrated research tool with the functions of measurement, processing, display and analysis, which may be applied to paraplegic rehabilitation guide in clinics and lay a foundation for the development of closed-loop feedback FES system in the future.
