Abstract: Agent technology has been considered as one of the most promising technologies to construct the distributed industrial system. In this paper, the agent technology is briefly introduced. Then a-state-of-the-art survey for the applications of agent technology in the manufacturing job shop scheduling is presented. And a multiagent distributed dynamic job shop scheduling scheme is constructed according to the bidding mechanism based on contract net protocol.
