Abstract:
A multi-phase intelligent traffic controller based on inductive vehicle detection technology is designed to resolve complex intersection traffic signal control problems.With six control algorithms and eight operation modes,this controller can meet control requirements of most complex types of intersections.Also,the controller has the functions of green-conflict detection,fault detection and degradation mechanism under fault conditions,so the controller can ensure traffic safe and smooth in most cases.A single-intersection multi-phase traffic signal self-adaptive control strategy based on vehicle queuing length is proposed.The algorithm ensures traffic smooth and makes vehicle delay as short as possible.The controller has been practically applied in Hangzhou and other cities,and the results are satisfactory.
