Abstract: Digital watermarking is a hot research field both domestically and internationally, but inter-disciplined characteristics of it imposes some difficulties on research domain, thus it is necessary to select a proper tool. Taking its characteristics, generic model and common algorithms into account, this paper introduces an efficient and pragmatic too--MATLAB. Finally, we suggest how to apply the tool to digital watermarking.
