Application of Lax-Wendroff Difference Method to the Analysis of High-speed Interconnect Transmission Lines

  • 摘要: 将Lax-Wendroff差分法用于互连传输线的分析,充分地利用了电报方程结构特性,给出了能够有效应用于互连线分析的二阶精度的Lax-Wendroff差分格式.通过数值实验将本文方法同特征法及快速傅里叶变换(FFT)法进行了比较.这种直接的时-空离散数值方法可应用于包括非均匀传输线在内的一般的互连传输线的瞬态分析,计算效率近于特征法,但适用范围要广得多.

     

    Abstract: We introduce the Lax-Wendroff difference method into the calculation of interconnect transmission lines.An efficient Lax-Wendroff difference scheme with second order accuracy is proposed by considering the structure characteristic of telegrapher's equations.Numerical experiments are presented and the results are compared with that computed by the methods of characteristics and fast Fourier transform(FFT).The approach of direct time-space discretization can be applied to analyzing general interconnect transmission lines including non-uniform transmission lines.The efficiency of the proposed method is close to that of methods of characteristics but its application scope is wider.
