Abstract: In this paper the development of urban traffic control is reviewed briefly, The latest technologies and methods of urban traffic control bave been introduced in details. Based on the analysis, how this problem is selved is discussed and a new mode of urban intelligent traffic control, i.e. urban multi-agent traffic control system is propcsed.
