Abstract: On basis of requirement analysis,this paper presents a generic system structure that holistically defines the major business perspectives of supply chain management in a petrochemical company.To cost-effectively develop information systems supporting supply chain management in petrochemical companies,this paper subsequently proposes that multiple view models should be created to describe structural relationships of the constituent perspectives.Finally,this paper elaborates the organization,function,information and product view models created to support the development of a crude oil purchase management system within the generic system structure of supply chain management.
