Abstract: Virtual reality(VR) is a kind of new technology developed in recent years, which can be applied in many fields, especially in medicine. In this paper, the basic technology of VR is reviewed. The application of VR for medicine in virtual human, assisted diagnosis and surgery, virtual surgery simulation and virtual telemedicine is introduced.
