Abstract:
Direct Torque Control (DTC), which developed after the field-oriented control, is a novel and high-performance control strategy for ac variable-frequency drives. It is very popular for its merits, such as quick response of torque, structure simplicity, robustness, and etc. It has acquired many achievements in theory and application research, however, as a new technique there are immature and imperfect problems, i.e. severe influence of stator resistance under low speed condition, large torque ripple under steady state. This paper summarizes the current research status quo and existing problems for DTC, and presents how to develop DTC technique.
