Abstract:
After a brief review of the different characteristics of the guadratic optimal control and decoupling control,the problem of how to design the systems which are both optimal and decoupled are proposed in this paper.Three methods for solving such a problem are presented.These methods are applied to a simulating paper machine headbox control and the physical experiments are carried out for the designed systems.The satisfactory behaviours were given.It is shown that the presented methods are applicable in engineering practice.
