Abstract:
The improved bumpless transfer (BT) schemes for dynamic matrix controller (DMC) and generalized predictive controller (GPC) are presented. The finite pulse response model is used to predict the free response with on-line feedback compensation when the DMC control was first started. It has the advantage that in non-DMC control mode, no on-line feedback correction is conducted and the only thing to be done is to save the process input and output data. The DC working points are not necessary to be involved in the above two predictive controllers, which are timesaving and more efficient for their practical implementation. Finally, the simulation results in a basis weight control system are given to illustrate their efficiency.
