Abstract:
This paper studies the synthesis and design problem of variable structure control for a linear discrete uncertain singular system with time-delays.Firstly,a new equivalent form of constrained system is developed and the system is decomposed into two low dimensional uncertain subsystems.Secondly, based on some results of the robust stability of discrete singular systems with time-delays,a switching function with difference compensator is designed, which guarantees that movement of the system is asymptotically stable in a quasi-switching manifold.Thirdly,a variable structure controller is designed, which can force the system trajectory either to arrive at the quasi-switching manifold in limited steps and ultimately slide to zero on the quasi-switching manifold or to enter into a small neighborhood of the quasi-switching manifold in limited steps and be convergent to a small chattering in the neighborhood. Finally, two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and practicability of the design method.
