文本二值图象压缩编码的等长编码方法

EQUAL LENGTH CODING METHOD OF BINARY TEXT IMAGE COMPRESSION

  • 摘要: 本文提出了一种新的图象压缩编码方法.该方法具有以下特点:(1)以游程长度编码,各码码长相等,均为8bit;(3)码字覆盖的最大游程长度为2048;(3)由于按字节存取,编码解码很方便;(4)特别适合于文本图象的编码压缩,对一般的文本图象压缩比为1∶8;(5)通讯中遇到干扰时可恢复图象,亦即比Huffman编码有很强的抗干扰性能,与Huffman编码的压缩比大约为1∶0.8;这种编码方法具有一定的实用价值.本文的压缩编码方法为无失真编码.

     

    Abstract: A new coding method of image compression is presented.This method has the following advantages:(1)It depends on run-length,every code has the same lengthof 8 bits;(2)The Longest run-length covered by this method is 2048;(3)Coding anddecoding can be performed very easily and quickly;(4)It is especially suitable forcompressing text image,with coding rate of about 1∶8;(5)It has better property ofnoise immunity when compared with Huffman coding.
