Finite-time Stability of the Uncertain Neutral System Based on Sliding Mode Control

  • In this study, the finite-time stability of the uncertain neutral time-delay system is studied using the sliding mode control. First, a suitable sliding surface and state feedback controller are constructed, guaranteeing the system states to reach the sliding surface in a finite time and maintain it. Next, through the Lyapunov stability theory and inequality techniques, the finite-time stability of the closed-loop system in the sliding mode phase is studied; conditions that ensure the finite-time stability are obtained and are given in the form of linear matix inequalities for easier computation. Finally, a numerical simulation confirms the effectiveness of the proposed model.
