Interconnected Control of Traffic Signals at Oversaturated Intersections Using Fuzzy Control Method

  • With the object of improving capacity and avoiding overflow in oversaturated intersections,a new method for designing interconnected control of traffic signals at oversaturated intersections is proposed.The dynamic phase combination and phase sequence are designed first,and then key parameters are identified. The control method is based on gather-disperse theory and fuzzy control. The simulation results show that the new method can reduce oversaturated intersection overflow,and it can also reduce average delay time.
