Abstract
Information diffusion control in social networks is a significant area of research within the field of information dissemination. We systematically review and synthesize the advancements made in this domain. Firstly, we analyze the fundamental principles of eight core technologies, including spectral optimization control, optimal control, heuristic control, and game-theoretic methods. Subsequently, we evaluate and compare the various methods in depth across multiple dimensions, such as computational complexity, applicable network size, applicability for complex networks, applicability for dynamic networks, applicable scenarios, robustness, advantages, and limitations. Additionally, we explore the application of advanced intelligent computing techniques in controlling information diffusion within social networks. Finally, we anticipate future research directions in the field of information diffusion control in social networks.
