INTELLIGENT POLE ASSIGNMENT OF CONTROL SYSTEMS

The pole assignment algorithm for a control system is well known.What is still absent is a way of determining the desired poles which give the system reasonable dynamic performance.A design knowledge base is hence required for turning the pole assignment algorithm into a practical design software,straight-forward and effective.Such a knowledge base has been developed by the authors upon tremendous amount of numerical calculation and analysis of a large number of typical 4-th order control systems.A design example is given.
