An Information Similarity Based Clustering Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

An energy-efficient information similarity based clustering algorithm(ISBC) is proposed,which uses genetic algorithm to partition the adjacent nodes with similar monitoring results into one cluster.With the help of efficient data aggregation within the cluster,remote communication energy dissipation in the system can be minimized,and thus the network lifetime can be prolonged.The simulation experment results show that ISBC provides a longer lifetime than the current important clustering protocols in some special applications.
