On a Comprehensive Optimal Control Method Based on Optimization of Hot Rolling Steel Slab Temperature

This paper presents a comprehensive integrated control strategy for hot-rolling process.Information of the rolling process can be feed back to the reheating process,and the temperature setting of reheating furnace can be adjusted dynamically based on the rolling information.Simulation results show that this strategy is effective to reduce reheating energy consumption and ensure that the rolling process shall run smoothly.
