Design of an Industrial Ethernet Communication Protocol Based on UDP/IP

  • In the mode of provider/consumer,the design process of the UIIE protocol based on UDP/IP protocol is pre-sented,including datagram design,datagram encapsulation and unwrap,system configuration and UIIE program design.The performance evaluation methods of industrial Ethernet protocols are presented,in which real-time property is the most important performance.With the simulation experiment system,the realtime properties of different network protocols are compared.The experimental results indicate that the UDP/IP-based UIIE protocol is better in real-time property than the TCP/IP-based protocol,and the results also confirm the feasibility and validity of the proposed UIIE protocol.
