An Improved Reader Anti-collision Algorithm for DiCa

  • Due to efficiency and equity shortcomings of reader anti-collision algorithm in DiCa,a kind of reader anti-collision algorithm,EDiCa(enhanced distributed tag access with collision-avoidance among mobile RFID readers),is pro-posed.The new algorithm economizes reading time and enhances system efficiency by introducing judgment measures and discarding the redundant backoff operation in DiCa.At the same time,according to the judgment measures,it adopts the rule of "propose first,control first" with a full consideration of the requirements for the control signal channel,which completely shows the equality principle for communication among readers.Finally,the simulation result indicates that the efficiency of the new algorithm in the data-reading process is greatly improved,however,its energy consumption is almost the same as that of DiCa.
