High Capacity Information Hiding Scheme for JPEG Images

The DCT coefficients of JPEG images are used as the hiding carrier,and the information hiding capacity gets increased by a modified quantization-based embedding method.The algorithm takes the structural-similarity-based image quality index as the image distortion measurement,and uses steepest descent method to choose the control parameters embedded into the algorithm,enabling the embedded image to have less distortions.The experimental results indicate that the proposed method can improve the information hiding capacity,and find an equilibrium between capacity and distortion.
