The Integrative Modeling of Dynamic Traffic Assignment and Traffic Control in Saturated Networks

  • An integrative model of dynamic traffic assignment and traffic control in saturated networks is presented.This model is formulated as a bi-level programming problem.The goal of the upper-level sub-problem is dynamic user equilibrium and the lower-level is dynamic system optimum.Especially,the queuing of vehicles and the driversroute choice behavior are considered explicitly.The approach of combining the genetic algorithm and nonlinear optimum programming method to solve the integrative model is proposed.
