Design of a Robust Compound Controller for DVD Focus System

In DVD focus servo system,the warp of the disc induces periodic disturbance whose frequency is same as the rotation frequency of the disc.A compound controller which combines positive feedback and negative feedback gives an excellent advantage of disturbance rejection.But,the positive feedback affects the stability of the closed system a lot,so a robust compound controller is given.Its effectiveness is verified through simulations and experiments.
