Status and Development of Data Fusion

This paper overviews the development of data fusion. First, both the general process model and the system-architecture-oriented process model of data fusion are introduced. Second, several important topics are discussed, such as architecture, positional fusion, identity fusion, assessment of situation and threat and applications. Finally, the challenges and the further research tendencies are also discussed.
