Distributed Online Production Scheduling System for Bar Mill Process

Based on the analysis of the management characteristics of bar milling process,a mathematic model for the scheduling problem with the availability constraints of bar milling is formulated,and the optimal solution is obtained by using adaptive genetic algorithm with local hybrid search.The overall structure of the production scheduling system based on multi agent system(MAS)is presented,and the realization method of the integrated scheduling system combined with evolution algorithm,expert system,heuristic rule and human computer interaction system is described.Field application shows that the system performs well,near optimum schedule can be obtained efficiently,and the quality of scheduling is improved greatly.
