  • The purpose of this paper is to provide cytologists and experts in hematologywith the methodology of analysing and studying cells through quantitative descriptions of various features of cell images given by computers.These quantitative descriptions also provide foundations for automatic classification of cell images and know-ledge expression of scene understanding in the research of pattern recognition.Through analysis of cell images,we have calculated 190 features that include 24 optical density features,106 geometric features and 60 texture features.
