Abstract
This paper introduces modular multivariable dynamic matrix controller. Using modular stratified structure, it assigns the goals to each control module according to their importance, and uses stair-like control tactic to avoid the complex calculation of model predictive control, not only simplifying the calculation but also making it more robust. After applying the controller to atmospheric pyrochemical furnace's temperature control, the performance is good.
