AN ANALYSIS OF COORDINATION AND CONTROL OF DISTRIBUTED MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS AND ITS MECHANISMS

This paper analyzes that coordination and control could play an important role in the promotion of enterprises'agility and flexibility, and expounds that they are the critical problems in distributed manufacturing systems. After reviewing the state-of-the-art of the existing coordination mechanisms, a framework which applies behavior-based mechanism to manufacturing is brought forward.
