The Detecting of Stiffness and Automatic Switch of the Integral Methods in Digital Simulation

The detecting of stiffness is important to the efficient and reliable ditital simulation.In this paper,three methods of detecting stiffness were studied.They are:spectral radius estimating method;method of imbeding low order large stability region formula;and small stability region detecting method which was proposed by authors.The proposed methods were successfully used in the automatic switch sequences,and were proved to be quite effective.
