A Microcomputer Chinese Database System and Its Application to Northeast Power System of China

The most serious problem of a microcomputer Chinese database system is its low speed which will keep it away from practice,this key problem has been solved in this paper by developing a new Chinese word searching technique,“tag field method”,which makes the searching speed nearly 10 times higher than it was before.Combining with some otther steps,such as consecutive query at the same layer,we can save a substantial amount of storage space and extend the application area of microcomputer.The database system recommended in this paper is very suitable for endusers.Any one who knows nothing about computer will be able to use it successfully within a few minutes.
