Abstract

The performance of SMAC with practical routing protocols in distributed wireless sensor networks is studied in different topologies,message intervals,and duty cycles.The capability that the network can achieve when SMAC works with different routing protocols is compared.The impact of MAC protocols supporting sleeping mode on two routing protocols is analyzed.The results provide beneficial guidance for future cross-layer design.
