Rule Generation and Parameter Tuning for Fuzzy Controllers Based on Hierarchical Genetic Algorithms

  • This paper presents a novel optimization method for fuzzy controller design based on hierarchical genetic algorithms.By using the genetic algorithms with hierarchical chromosome structures,rule generation and para-(meter)tuning of the fuzzy controller can be achieved simultaneously.The optimization process is characterized by the properties of self-organization and self-learning,and prior knowledge or training data are not needed.Simulation results show that the fuzzy controller optimized by the proposed method has simple structure and good performance.
