STUDY OF DISCRETE CLOSED LOOP CONVEYOR PRODUCTION SYSTEMS—A GENERAL ANALYTICAL METHOD

A general analytical method for discrete closed loop conveyor production systems is given in this paper.Based on the parameters of conveyor and service times of the workstations,we studied the relations between flow rates in the system and built dynamic and steady state behaviour expressions.Then,we gave out the system performance measures and pointed out that there exists a recirculating effect with its influences on system capacity.Finaly,the correctness of analysis was tested by simulation.
