Abstract
Based on state observer,the paper discusses the fault detection and isolation methodology for sensor gain drifting in dynamic systems with uncertainties, First,we decompose the residual of state observer into two terms:the term resulted from sensor fault and the term resulted from model uncertainty,Then we extract the first term from the residual via optimization with the aid of fault characteristic signal generated by an auxiliary system. Hence the fault is detected and isolated.
