A NEW INTERPOLATION ALGORITHM BASED ON SHSF-AMS AND SCATTERED ERROR FOR SUBSAMPLED IMAGE

  • Subsampling/Interpolation is a simple, fast, and effective method for image compression coding, and one of the important techniques in HDTV compression coding. In this paper, a new interpolation method, which is based on the SHSF-AMS and scattered error, is proposed for 1/2 subsampled image. The computer simulations show that the new interpolation algorithm has better performance in comparison with existing interpolation algorithms.
