AN APPROACH TO INTERSECTION INTELLIGENT TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL BASED ON MULTISENSOR INTEGRATION AND FUSION TECHNOLOGIES

  • An intelligent traffic signal control system is presented based on multisensor integration and fusion technologies. The proposed system has the advantages of completeness, unity, variety and fault-tolerance of information compared with traditional ones. Furthermore, the available ways of intelligent control are also discussed by the use of multisensor integration and fusion technologies. Finally, the goals of enhancing the traffic signal control effects are reached by the versatile controls of urban area traffic. Simulation results presented show its advantages and effectiveness.
