Model and Algorithm of Rolling Units for Integrated Continuous Casting and Hot Rolling

A mathematical model for rolling units of integrated continuous casing and hot rolling is formulated according to vehicle routing problem and solved by a heuristic method based on tabu search algorithm.Computational results on experimental data indicate that the average number of slabs included in a rolling unit is increased by 22%,the average penalty is reduced by 63%,and the solution time is obviously reduced comparising with manual work.
