Abstract

Genetic algorithms(GA)are parameter search procedures based on nature genetics mechanics, The origin and mechanics of GA are introduced in this paper. GA are compared with the other artificialintelligence technique. A range of applications in optimization,machine learning,and control field are reviewed. The suggestions for future development of GA are also discussed.
