Simulating the Evolution of Aviation Marketing Competition with Cellular Automata

  • In order to study the evolution of the aviation market competition,the evolutionary model of business and tourist passengers is built up with cellular automata technology.Taking the flights management of Shenzhen Airlines and other airlines on the route of Shenzhen-Beijing as example,the evolution of competition is simulated.Result shows the different influences on business passenger and tourist passenger of ticket price,flight frequency and airlines'core competence.The ticket price affects tourist passenger more,while the frequency and the core competence affects business passenger more. The airlines'core competence affects market shares and profit level of airlines more than the frequency and the ticket price.
