ITS INFORMATION CHARACTERISTICS AND RELATED PROBLEMS

Information is one of the key components in ITS. Based on the collecting, processing and sharing of information, ITS realizes the shift from the simple and static management into the intelligent and dynamic management. It also meet the people's need for real-time-dynamic or historical traffic information. This paper summarizes and analyses the main characteristics about ITS information and then some problems related to information organization and processing are proposed later.
